Redax is a Chrome extension for recording videos, giving demos, and sharing your screen without showing anything private. It hides GUIDs, API keys, passwords, and personal details as soon as they appear on a page. It all runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.

Leave it on and stop worrying about which tab you click into.
Record walkthroughs without blurring every frame in post, or re-shooting because a key slipped through.
Click around the real portal on stage. Tenant IDs and keys stay covered, even the ones you forgot were there.
Share a tab with a customer or a contractor and keep their data and your credentials off their screen.
Take screenshots for blog posts, bug reports, and support tickets without redacting them by hand.
You can turn each category on or off. Labels and surrounding text stay readable, so the page still makes sense to your audience.
password: …ACME-\d{6}Redax paints over the page instead of editing it, which is why it's safe to leave on.
Redax finds sensitive values on your machine and never makes a network request. There's no account to create.
Redax asks for no site access at install. You turn it on per site, or for all sites, from the toolbar.
Redax draws over values with a highlight layer instead of rewriting the text. React apps, code editors, and rich-text fields keep working, and turning Redax off restores everything exactly.
Redax scans new content as it arrives, so a value that loads in the middle of a demo is covered before it's drawn on screen.
